François De Vriendt

François De Vriendt (° 1968).  He studied history and art history at the Universities of Louvain and Namur. He is mainly interested in Latin hagiographic texts from the Low Countries, and in the history of devotions (relics, rituals, iconography) to saints in Hainaut and Brabant from the Middle Ages to Modern times. He is member of various learned societies and trustee of the Foundation “Patrimoine, Art et Histoire en Hainaut.
